HARISH KUMAR. Principal Architect

Harish Kumar is an architect and the founder of HOSA — House of Sustainable Architecture, an architecture practice based in Bengaluru.

A graduate of R.V. College of Engineering, Bengaluru, Harish has over a decade of experience across architecture and interior design. His professional journey began with Edgar Demello Architects, followed by his association with Hundredhands, where he was involved in the design and development of several award-winning projects.

These experiences have shaped his understanding of architecture as a discipline that extends beyond the making of buildings—to the way people, climate, materials, light and space come together to create meaningful environments.

His approach is rooted in careful observation, contextual thinking and a constant search for better ways of making architecture. Over the years, this has led to a growing focus on sustainability—not as an additional layer to design, but as a fundamental way of thinking about architecture.

With HOSA, Harish continues this journey through a practice focused on creating thoughtful, responsible and enduring architecture, while exploring how design can respond more sensitively to its environment, resources and the people who inhabit it.
